Antique Swedish brass candlesticks dating from approximately 1820 to 1850, all unique in size and detailing and bearing all the wonderful knocks and marks of approximately 200 years of life.

An ingenious design from before the electrification of homes allowing you to adjust the height of the burning taper. Before drifting off to sleep at night you could ensure the flame was almost at the point of the threshold so that once it dropped below it would self extinguish safely. This would hopefully occur not long after you had fallen asleep and so didn't need the gentle light anymore and you waste as little of your candle as possible.
